Cheers to 30 years!

After thirty (30!) years of building one of the most respected high school athletic programs in the state, Jack Weber has decided to step down from the Montclair Soccer program, and hand over the reins to Assistant Coach Toure Weaver.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank “Web” for his years of tireless service to the MHS Community.  We wish him well in his future endeavors, and will greatly miss him.  Jack Weber built an incredible soccer program at MHS…  Let’s all work with Coach Weaver to help the program continue to grow.

Dear MHS Soccer Families,

Welcome to the 2018 season.

The Montclair Boys Soccer Booster Club is….

A group of volunteer parents whose mission is to provide support and fundraising to the program as district funding is limited.  We work with the Athletic Department at MHS, the entire coaching staff and players to make sure that everyone’s needs are met.  Here are some of the things we do.

  1. Provide Photography for the season for publications and purchase
  2. Relay season practice and game information via MHS website, Teamsnap and Twitter
  3. Purchase additional equipment and uniforms when needed
  4. Host kick off party
  5. Create/Print Senior Book
  6. Create Program Journal
  7. Host end of season Banquet & Coaches Gifts
  8. Host Senior Day
  9. Provide snacks and drinks for pre-game nutrition

The program has been successful because of volunteers and booster club membership dues.  At the beginning of each year we host a kick off party to get players, parents and coaches together to support the booster club program and collect dues.  This year it will be held at the Woodman Field Complex Media room and outside patio area at 6:30pm on Tuesday September 4th.  We will have some light food and refreshments.

Additionally, you can register online visiting our website and by clicking on the registration link.

We are always looking for volunteers and will need to bring new families to the Board as players graduate from the program.  If you have any interest in volunteering for any of the above events or to take a more active role in the organization please reach out to

IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE PROGRAM OR HAVE HAD YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION CHANGE, PLEASE EMAIL and state your name, your players name, your players team (Fresh, JV or Varsity) and your email addresses AND YOU WILL BE ADDED TO THE DISTRIBUTION.

Welcome to the Fall 2020 Season

Welcome to the 2020 Season! Below is some important information to note as the coaches and players look to start pre-season practices September 14th.

The coaching staff for the 2020 season is shown below. Every one of the coaches played for the high school. It is a sign of their connection and commitment to the program that they are back leading our boys.

  • Toure Weaver - Varsity head coach and overall program head coach
  • Jon Chiles - Varsity assistant coach
  • Oliver Murphy - Varsity assistant coach
  • Stephen Moore - Junior Varsity head coach
  • John Moore - Freshmen head coach

How we communicate: We have multiple communication vehicles to get out basic info to parents as well as to create some enthusiasm about the accomplishments of our players and the teams.

Volunteer opportunities: There are a number of ways parents can join in. Most require no more than an hour a week of activity. If you are interested in any of the roles below, reach out and let us know now.  Roles that have been filled are not shown.

  • Banquet coordinator (if we have one) - partially filled, looking for 1-2 additional volunteers
  • Program book for banquet
  • Banquet video
  • Game photography - If there are parent volunteers who are skilled photographers and would be interested in doing this, please let us know ASAP.
  • Game video coordinator - If there are any parent volunteers who are skilled videographers and who would be interested in shooting game video for those who cannot attend the games, please let us know ASAP.
  • Future executive board members - The current board is either senior parents or alumni parents. We are looking for volunteers who can step into these roles next year and as many years into the future as possible.

How we raise money: Asking for money is not fun but it is necessary. Our big fundraisers are below. We will send out more info once the teams have been formed:

  • Merchandise sales - COMPLETE
  • Car wash - date to be scheduled
  • Booster club dues - will be gathered via SportsEngine after teams have been finalized
  • General donations - will be gathered via a fundraising site
